I spent forty minutes on Grailed this morning. Not because I was looking for something. Just… scrolling. You know how it goes. You see a hoodie, you click, then you're three pages deep looking at a jacket you forgot existed.
Sophie asked me what I was doing. I said "research." She said "you're just looking at expensive stuff again."
She's right.
So I closed the app and looked at the actual drops this week. Three things stood out. Two are worth your time. One is a trap.

Nike ACG Restock – "Rope" Tee and Cargos
ACG finally brought back the rope-dyed tee. $55. It's not complicated. Thick cotton, loose fit, that faded look that doesn't look fake. I had the first run two years ago. Wore it until the collar started curling. This one feels the same.
The cargos are back too. $140. They're heavy. Like, stupid heavy. If you live somewhere hot, skip them. But if you're in a place with real winter or you just like pants that feel like they could survive a fall, these are good. I grabbed the tee. Waiting on the cargos because I spent too much on groceries this week.
Hoka Transport – New "Dune" Colorway
Hoka keeps making shoes that aren't ugly anymore. I don't know when that happened. The Transport model came out last year. It's their casual shoe. Not for running. Just for walking around and looking like you might hike but probably won't.
The new Dune color is a sandy brown. Not too yellow. Not too gray. Works with black joggers, works with light wash jeans. $150. I tried them on at a shop near the boardwalk. The sole is thick but not weird thick. You won't trip going up stairs.
One thing nobody tells you about Hokas: they fit narrow in the middle. If you have wide feet, size up half. I forgot to check that the first time I bought a pair. Walked around for a week with sore pinky toes before I admitted my mistake.
Supreme Fall Tee – Box Logo in Maroon
Here's the one I'm supposed to hype. Supreme dropped a maroon box logo tee this week. Resale is already at $180. Retail was $48.
I get it. The box logo is a thing. But I've held enough of these to tell you: it's just a cotton tee with a logo. The fabric isn't special. The print cracks after six washes if you put it in the dryer. And maroon? It's fine. It's not great.
You want my honest take? If you can get it at retail, sure, grab it. Trade it later for something you actually want. But paying resale? $180 for a tee that feels like a $20 Gildan? That's a waste. I've seen guys wearing last season's box logo with the print half peeled off. They're not happy. They just don't want to admit it.
So what's worth it?
The ACG tee is an easy buy. $55, no thinking. The Hokas in Dune are good if your feet aren't wide. If they are wide, try them on first. I didn't. Learned that one the hard way.
The Supreme? Leave it for someone with more money than sense.
One more thing before I go. I tried to write this post yesterday but Sophie wanted to watch a movie. We watched something on Netflix I forgot the name of. I fell asleep twenty minutes in. She finished it without me. She said I didn't miss much.
So here it is. Friday morning. Coffee cold. Post done.
Next week I'll remember to write earlier. Maybe.
